1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using mapidoo.com (the "Site"), the map design tool (the "Map Builder"), or purchasing any product from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or purchase our products.

2. What Mapidoo Is

Mapidoo lets you design a personalized map poster using our Map Builder, and purchase it as:

  • a digital download (a file you download and print or display yourself),
  • an unframed print, or
  • a framed print.

Physical products are produced on demand by our print fulfillment partner, Gelato, and shipped directly to you — we do not hold inventory.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your country of residence, to place an order. Mapidoo is not directed at children.

4. Accounts

You may be able to check out as a guest without creating an account. If we introduce account functionality, you're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

5. Orders, Pricing, and Payment

  • All prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout and are processed in Singapore Dollars (SGD) or the local currency shown, depending on your payment method.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details — Stripe handles that.
  • Applicable taxes (e.g., VAT/GST) are calculated and collected at checkout via Stripe Tax where required by law.
  • All orders are final once payment is confirmed, except as described in Section 13 (Returns, Refunds & Cancellations).

6. The Map Builder Tool

The Map Builder is a tool we provide to let you design a custom map (choosing themes, text, borders, size, and similar options) before purchase. Your use of the Map Builder itself — separate from any product you buy through it — is also governed by the license restrictions in Section 7.

7. License Grant & Permitted Use — Please Read Carefully

Subject to these Terms and full payment, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • use the Map Builder to design a map for your own personal order; and
  • use, display, and personally enjoy any digital file, unframed print, or framed print you purchase.

You may personally alter your purchased product — for example, cropping a digital file, reframing a print, or otherwise adapting it for your own display — and this is explicitly permitted.

You may NOT, without our prior written consent:

  • resell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise commercially distribute any digital file, print, or Map Builder output;
  • use any digital file, print, or Map Builder output in connection with a business, product, service, advertisement, or any activity intended to generate revenue for you or a third party;
  • reproduce or mass-produce any Mapidoo design (including altered versions) for sale or commercial distribution;
  • use the Map Builder tool itself, or any output from it, to build or supply a competing product or service; or
  • claim authorship of the underlying design, theme, or template as your own original commercial work.

This restriction applies whether or not you have altered the item after purchase — alteration for personal use is fine; alteration in order to commercialize it is not.

If you want to use a Mapidoo design commercially (e.g., in a business, for resale, or in a public-facing commercial context), please contact us to discuss a commercial license — we're generally open to this on a case-by-case basis under separate terms.

8. Intellectual Property Ownership

  • Mapidoo, the Site, the Map Builder, our themes, templates, and underlying software are owned by Duchess Digital Pte. Ltd. and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
  • Underlying map data is provided by third-party map data providers (currently Stadia Maps, which draws on OpenStreetMap data). That data is subject to its own license terms, including attribution requirements, separate from our license to you.
  • Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our platform, software, or underlying map data to you — you receive only the limited license described in Section 7.

9. User-Submitted Content

If you upload content to personalize your design (for example, a GPX route file, custom text, or labels — "Your Content"), you retain ownership of it. You grant us a limited license to use, store, and process Your Content solely to create and fulfill your order, including sharing it with Gelato for printing where applicable.

You're responsible for ensuring Your Content doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or violate any law.

10. Digital Downloads

  • After a successful digital order, we generate a download link that remains valid for 30 days.
  • You're responsible for downloading your file within that window. After 30 days, the file and link are automatically deleted, and we may not be able to reissue it without additional support (at our discretion).
  • We recommend saving a personal backup copy once downloaded.

11. Physical Products & Fulfillment

  • Physical products are printed and shipped on demand by Gelato, our print fulfillment partner, based on the design and shipping details you provide.
  • Shipping times vary by destination and are estimates, not guarantees.
  • For certain destinations (currently the Philippines, Hong Kong, and UAE for select sizes), shipping may be Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) — meaning customs duties or import taxes, if any, are your responsibility upon delivery, separate from what you paid us.
  • Risk of loss and title to physical products pass to you upon our fulfillment partner's handover to the shipping carrier.

12. Shipping & Delivery

We'll provide estimated delivery timeframes at checkout where available. Delays caused by customs, carriers, or circumstances outside our control are not our responsibility, though we'll assist where reasonably possible.

13. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Because our products are custom-made to your specifications, all sales are final except where:

  • the item arrives damaged or defective, or
  • there was a manufacturing or fulfillment error on our part.

If you believe your order qualifies, contact us at support@mapidoo.com within 14 days of delivery with photos of the issue, and we'll arrange a reprint or refund at our discretion.

14. Prohibited Uses

In addition to Section 7, you agree not to:

  • use the Site or Map Builder for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy our software, themes, or underlying map rendering system;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Site's functionality or security;
  • upload content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful; or
  • use automated tools (bots) to place orders or access the Site at scale without our permission.

15. Availability & Modifications to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, Map Builder, or product catalog at any time, including sizes, formats, or available shipping destinations, without liability to you (except for orders already placed and paid for).

16. Disclaimers

The Site and Map Builder are provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that map data will always be fully accurate or current — map data is sourced from third parties and may contain inaccuracies.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Duchess Digital Pte. Ltd.'s total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Mapidoo will not exceed the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Duchess Digital Pte. Ltd. harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of a purchased product in violation of Section 7, or Your Content infringing a third party's rights.

19. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

20. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or Map Builder if you violate these Terms, particularly the license restrictions in Section 7.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
